About

Hi there! Thanks for dropping by.

JrMlz is my attempt at a blog where I share my interest in and works of photography, my thoughts and opinions, some experiences in life, and other random things that interest me.

I hope you’d find the posts in this blog interesting. If you’d like to share any thoughts regarding a post, please don’t hesitate to do so by adding a comment. I’d love to hear/read them!

I’m also on Google+, Facebook and Flickr, so if you’re also in any of those, circle/add me up. Ciao!

JrMlz is Juro Malazo sans vowels, which is itself a shorter version of Jun Roweeku Malazo.

juro malazo photoJuro is a young IT professional in his early 20s whose interests include business, cars, music and photography.

Juro is a hobbyist photographer…or amateur photographer, whatever you want to call it. He first held his Panasonic Lumix LX5 back in October of 2012, and has since been shooting and studying photography, wanting to learn and improve more. He is currently fascinated with Street Photography, and has decided to pursue it. He goes out and roams the streets of the city for hours, shooting what catches his eye. He’s only recently started with this, and aims to improve and produce photos that would be worthy of looking back to in the years to come. He posts his works in Google+, Flickr and his Facebook Page.

    1. Cute, little and capable…I agree!
I’m curious, how do you shoot street with the LX5? Do you use the AF, use zone focusing, or some other approach?

      Thanks for dropping by!

      Cheers,

      1. I use AF for most of the times. I have tried zone focusing but am not able to get good images. I find something close to ‘hip shots’ a viable option. I keep the camera at waist level, tilt it a bit, just glance at the screen and shoot. People thing I am fiddling with the camera.

        1. Cool. I guess it really depends on one’s style.
It’s the opposite for me. I usually go for zone focusing and then switch to AF when I ask permission because then I have a bit more time to shoot.

          1. I believe that one should have fun, auto-fun on zone-fun, does not matter at the end. I am glad that there is someone else using LX5 for serious street.
            Happy shooting.

  1. Hi Juro, thank you for the follow! Please be aware that my blog is a bilingual one. So you may get links to some poems in English as well as to some in Italian… I’m trying to keep the posting balanced between the two languages, but the photographs speak one and only language. Keep up the good work.
